Herbal Sugar Scrub
Sugar Scrub
The simplest tool in the whole apothecary — sugar, oil, and whatever the season calls for.
Sugar scrubs are about as old-fashioned as skincare gets — coarse sugar to work loose what's dead and dry, olive oil to keep it from ever feeling harsh. No machinery, no complicated process, just an old, reliable combination doing exactly what it's always done. We make one base recipe and let the herbs decide the rest.
Rose & Lavender
The gentlest pairing in the line — rose softening, lavender closing the day out the way it closes most things around here. Good for evenings, or any skin that just wants to be treated kindly.
Spearmint & Lemon Peel
The wake-up version. Spearmint runs cool and sharp, lemon peel brightens it further, and together they're closer to a cold splash of water than a quiet ritual. Good for mornings, or whenever the day needs a push to actually start.
Calendula & Chamomile
The softest of the three. Calendula's the workhorse of the garden, easy and forgiving; chamomile settles everything around it without asking for anything in return. Good for sensitive skin, or the days that already feel like too much.
Ingredients (base): White sugar, olive oil (Olea europaea), plus the variant herbs — rose petal and lavender; spearmint and lemon peel; or calendula and chamomile.
Directions: Work a small amount into damp skin in slow circles. Rinse thoroughly. Pat dry. Use a dry spoon each time to preserve shelf life.
Cautions: For external use only. Keep away from eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Use within 6 months of purchase.
