Chamomile Single Herb

One plant. One month. A slow record of what grows and why it matters.

The Specimen Box is a monthly subscription rooted in folk herbal tradition. Each box contains a single plant, chosen from the farm or sourced from trusted growers, along with a printed reference card, a long-form essay on its folk history and lineage, and a folk spell insert drawn from Appalachian and European herbalism.

Your subscription also includes paid access to Creekside Correspondence: the monthly newsletter, weekly field notes from the Ohio River Valley, and each month’s printed notes as a PDF in your inbox.

This is not a wellness kit. It is a field document. Something to keep.

Each month includes:

• A sample of the month’s plant (tea, tincture, or dried herb, depending on the plant)
• A printed botanical monograph
• A folk history essay, the kind worth printing and keeping
• A folk spell or charm insert

Coming to the shelf: Chamomile (November), Pine (December), Elder (January), Hawthorn (February), Nettle (March), Violet (April).

Boxes ship on the last Saturday of each month, U.S. only. Paid access to Creekside Correspondence is set up within 3 days of your first order, using the email on your order.

For those who find solace in the dark, and want something real, made slowly, for a body that deserves it.
